Bye-bye 2012, Hello 2013

I'm just adding a few shots, taken since we moved in for Christmas and New Year.

The Marley Tiles in the bathroom have worked very much to our liking.  It is being decorated less like a bathroom and more like a studio.

Upstairs, north-facing platform, showing the bathroom entrance doors.  No pictures hung yet, but that's going to happen very soon.

Here's the south-facing deck sitting-room, also looking across and into the bathroom.

Cindy sitting in the north-west bedroom

The fireplace, with Cindy's tiles around, and my lovely pots on the mantelpiece.

Rosy and Frootko upstairs

Taken on Christmas Day, when John & Pippa and Pru & Rich and families came to give Orca her first Christmas celebrations with us.

James's arrival, complete with his and Ted's scramblers.

Another shot from Christmas Day, when 20 of us were able to sit at tables on the south deck overlooking the sea.

A shot from the balcony upstairs

Paula and Masha enjoying a chat by the swimming pool.

Enjoying a braai on the north kitchen deck

Fun by the pool, which is superbly protected from the sea-breeze when it blows.

And here's a shot of the occupants of all the bedrooms over Christmas /New Year. We had James & Masha, Ted & Emma, Rosy & James, Michele & Danica, Nick and myself.  The house catered for us very comfortably and we all had a marvellous time.

Nick and I just adore Orca House, and enter into the New Year of 2013 in fine spirits and looking forward to ironing out the few problem areas, finishing of the electricals and landscaping the garden.
Thank you to all who came to share the house with us, we're just sorry that you all have to go back to work now - the party's over! But what a lovely one it was.
